LHA8949-18

The LHA8949-18 is an 8-channel, 18-bit charge-redistribution successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter powered by a single VDD analog supply. It integrates all building blocks for multi-channel low-power data acquisition, including a no-missing-code 18-bit SAR ADC, an 8-channel low-noise analog multiplexer configurable for single-ended (ground-referenced / non-ground-referenced), differential or pseudo-bipolar inputs, an internal low-drift 2.5 V / 4.096 V voltage reference with output buffer, an on-chip temperature sensor, an optional single-stage digital filter, and a hardware automatic channel scanning sequencer. A simple SPI serial interface is used to write configuration registers and read conversion results. The SPI interface operates from an independent VIO supply rail to match host microcontroller I/O voltage levels. Device power consumption varies linearly with throughput rate. The LHA8949-18 is supplied in a compact 20-lead 4 mm × 4 mm QFN package, fully characterized over the industrial temperature range of −40 ℃ to +125 ℃.
