LHA7878H

The LHA7878H is a multi-channel simultaneous-sampling 24-bit delta-sigma (ΔΣ) analog-to-digital converter (ADC), integrating a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), internal precision voltage reference and on-chip oscillator. Benefiting from ultra-wide dynamic range, scalable data throughput and integrated fault monitoring circuitry, this device is highly suitable for industrial grid monitoring, power system protection and general test & measurement equipment. Its high-impedance analog inputs can be directly connected to resistor dividers or voltage transformers for line voltage measurement, as well as current transformers or Rogowski coils for current sensing. Thanks to high integration and superior electrical performance, the LHA7878H enables scalable industrial power monitoring systems with reduced PCB footprint, power dissipation and total bill-of-materials cost. Each channel of the LHA7878H is equipped with an independent input multiplexer, which can be individually routed to an internal signal generator for channel self-test, temperature sensing and fault diagnosis. All fault detection logic is implemented on-chip, utilizing a DAC-controlled threshold comparator for fault judgment. The device supports a maximum conversion throughput of 128 kSPS. This fully integrated analog front-end (AFE) solution is housed in a LQFP-64 package, with full electrical characterization specified over the industrial temperature range of −40 °C to +105 °C.
