LHA9934
The LHA9934 is a high-performance, single-chip analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The device integrates a low-noise Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA), a Δ-Σ modulator, and digital filters. This ADC supports two operating modes to achieve an optimal trade-off between power consumption and resolution.
The dual-channel multiplexer enables selection between external input signals and internal ADC test signals. A dedicated mode short-circuits the input circuitry for internal noise measurement. Featuring high input impedance and low noise, the PGA can be directly interfaced with sensors such as geophones and hydrophones.
The fourth-order modulator delivers excellent low-noise and linearity performance. The modulator output is filtered and decimated by on-chip digital filters to generate ADC conversion results. FIR filters support data rates from 62.5 SPS to 16 kSPS, while Sinc filters support data rates up to 64 kSPS. The integrated High-Pass Filter (HPF) features programmable corner frequency. On-chip gain and offset trim registers support system-level calibration. The synchronization input controls the timing of ADC conversions, and the shutdown input puts the ADC into low-power shutdown mode.
The LHA9934 is packaged in a compact 24-lead 5 mm × 4 mm QFN package. Its full rated operating temperature range is –40 °C to +125 °C, with an absolute maximum operating temperature range of –50 °C to +125 °C.
