LHA6958D

The LHA6958D is a 16-bit simultaneous-sampling analog-to-digital data acquisition system (DAS) with 8 channels. Each channel integrates analog input clamp protection, a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), a low-pass filter, and a 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The LHA6958D also incorporates configurable digital filters, a low-drift 2.5 V precision voltage reference, a reference buffer for ADC driving, and flexible parallel & serial communication interfaces. The LHA6958D operates from a single 5 V analog supply. All channels support a maximum throughput sampling rate of 500 kSPS, with true bipolar input ranges of ±10 V and ±5 V. The input clamp protection withstands overvoltage up to ±25 V, and the device features a 1 MΩ analog input impedance. Single-supply operation, on-chip filtering and high input impedance eliminate the need for external driver operational amplifiers that require dual power supplies. For low-throughput applications, the configurable digital filters of the LHA6958D can be utilized to optimize noise performance. The LHA6958D is fully pin-to-pin and function compatible with the AD7606. Note: Throughout this datasheet, multifunction pins (such as the RD/SCLK pin) are referenced either by their full pin name or by a single associated function. For instance, the label SCLK refers exclusively to its clock function. The WR pin of the LHA6958D has no assigned functionality.
