LHA6958H

The LHA6958H is a 16-bit simultaneous-sampling analog-to-digital data acquisition system (DAS) with 8 channels. Each channel integrates analog input clamp protection, a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), a low-pass filter, and a 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The LHA6958H also incorporates configurable digital filters, a low-drift 2.5 V precision voltage reference, and a reference buffer. The LHA6958H operates from a single 5 V analog supply. All channels support a maximum throughput sampling rate of 1 MSPS, with true bipolar input ranges of ±12.5 V, ±10 V, ±5 V and ±2.5 V. The input clamp protection withstands overvoltage up to ±25 V, and the device features a 1 MΩ analog input impedance. Single-supply operation, on-chip filtering and high input impedance eliminate the need for external driver operational amplifiers that require dual power supplies. For low-throughput applications, the configurable digital filters of the LHA6958H can be utilized to optimize noise performance. The LHA6958H is fully compatible with a mainstream industry device under hardware mode. The following advanced features are available in software mode: - Additional ±2.5 V and ±12.5 V analog input ranges, selectable per channel - High-bandwidth mode (220 kHz), selectable per channel - Extra oversampling (OS) options with maximum OS × 256 - Per-channel system gain, system offset and system phase calibration - Two bandwidth options: 25 kHz and 220 kHz - Analog input open-circuit detector - Diagnostic multiplexer - Monitoring functions (Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) and reset detection) Note: Throughout this datasheet, multifunction pins (such as the RD/SCLK pin) are referenced either by their full pin name or by a single associated function. For instance, the label SCLK refers exclusively to its clock function.
